Advocacy North-East

Independent Advocacy in Aberdeenshire

Charter Champion

As a volunteer involving organisation, we recognise the important contribution that volunteers make in their communities by generously giving up their time to support others. Here at Advocacy North East we have always believed in maintaining robust standards that make our volunteers feel supported and able to make a valuable contribution.

To demonstrate this Advocacy North East takes every opportunity to align with best practice and we are therefore delighted to announce that we have now signed up to become a Volunteer Charter Champion.

The Volunteer Charter has been developed by Volunteer Scotland and the Scottish Trades Union Congress (STUC) and it sets out ten key principles which help underpin good relations within a volunteering environment, promoting good practice and preventing the exploitation of either workers or volunteers.

Following an evaluation and a commitment to upholding the ten principles of good practice, Advocacy North East is proud to be a signed-up member of this very important charter.
